About this page

THE NUMBERS ARE IN

A total of 114,059 registered riders in 678 rides (globally) raised $ 5,841,621. Yes, over five-and-a-half million dollars AND COUNTING. It’s proof that riders worldwide can make a big difference when it comes to preventing men from dying prematurely.

And as the global safety partner for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2019, there’s only one thing we can say: We salute you!

About this page

WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT

Behind the polished bikes and dapper appearance of the riders lies a serious cause. The DGR serves the global community in a unique way: by mobilizing custom motorcycle enthusiasts for the good cause, and with great success. The money goes to men’s health related causes, such as research on prostate cancer and mental health issues. The ride doesn’t stop at that, as not only does it contribute to health financially but a big part of the campaign is addressing the issues for which money is raised.

Prostate examination has become a lighter topic to discuss thanks to the DGR, and the close-knit motorcycle community has taken the DGR’s example and actively encourages those who suffer from mental health issues to open up so they can receive help when needed, especially when sometimes opening up is already half the cure. As a result, the often-negative stereotypes with which motorcyclists are labeled have undergone a transformation. From the stereotype of antisocial riders causing disturbance to well-dressed men and women creating awareness for a cause that concerns us all; preventing men from dying young.
