About the
Brno Circuit

With GP history dating back to 1930 when riders raced around the area on a closed road course, the current track was formed in the 1980s and has been a host to the MotoGP circus since 1987.
Those of you who’ve attended will know just why it’s one of the most popular tracks on the calendar, as its arena-like banked layout offers you a great view of the sinuous circuit as a spectator.

Arriving in Brno third in the standings, Danilo aims to continue his successful streak, including a great fourth-place finish at the Sachsenring before the summer break; a track that typically doesn’t suit his bike. With a sixth place from sixth on the grid last year, Danilo has his eyes on the podium… and beyond!

About this page

“In Germany, we did our best, making a strong comeback to finish fourth and take home important points for the championship. It's been a complicated weekend, but fortunately Saturday's crash didn't particularly compromise our performance during the race. I was able to get off to a strong start from twelfth place on the grid, and I immediately recovered some positions, then I simply tried to manage the rear tire in the best way possible.

It wasn't easy to hold off the other riders of the pack, and once again, I had a fun battle with Andrea and Jack. The only negative note is the gap from the winner, but I think we achieved the best possible result on Sunday. We’ll come back from a small break in which I’ve worked hard to be even more competitive. I’m looking forward to push hard and make up some ground in the championship as much as possible.”

Another championship in which one of our riders holds third spot: Augusto Fernández. With his consistant results, he claims 3rd despite having missed two races due to an injury. At the NTS RW Racing squad, they’re making up ground quickly through rapid development. Despite the results not necessarily reflecting the advancements, both Bo Bendsneyder and Steven Odendaal are getting up to speed in the incredibly tight Moto2 field.

About this page

“Germany, for me, was a very hard race. I didn’t have a good start but it’s true that on Sunday, sixth was the best possible result. The objective was to finish the race and score points.

That is the most important thing and in the end, a sixth position is good. I went on our break as third in the championship, and with my batteries fully charged, I am ready to start even stronger in Brno!”

About this page

“It’s a shame I couldn’t get points at the Sachsenring because it was a very good race. The pace was good, I was only one to two tenths short. As a result, I lost places on the straight and it was difficult to make up for it in the middle. Only there did I lose it: on the straight.

I certainly had the speed to fight somewhere around the top 10. Of course, I am disappointed about those points, but I am very happy with how the race went. So, with that motivation, we arrive in Brno, and our goal will be to get closer to the front again.”

About this page

“My start was good. I could see Bo in front of me. But one rider overtook me and I couldn’t pass him back until halfway through the race. As a result, we lost contact with the group. When I finally passed him, the difference was too big.

I didn’t have the speed to close the gap, so I ended 23rd. During the break, I had some homework to do to improve things for myself, and with renewed motivation, I start the second half of the season in Brno.”

Dalla Porta did it! Being denied victory either due to last lap overtakes or technical issues, Lorenzo pulled off his first win of the season at the Sachsenring and, by that, taking over the championship lead. Fellow REV’IT! rider in the Moto3 class, Jaume Masià, was less fortunate, ending the race just outside the points due to technical issues, which forced him out of the leading group. Back at it in Brno, both our riders feel fired up for the second half of the 2019 season.

About this page

“It is always a pity to finish a race with zero points even more if it is for technical problems and when you are on the top group but there is nothing we can do.

We ended the first half of the season with good feelings, so I am very motivated for the second part of 2019! Here we go!”

About this page

“I was really looking for this victory and finally it arrived. It’s been a fantastic day at the Sachsenring and there was no better way to go on holidays than having jumped onto the first step of the podium!

Now we arrive in Brno as the championship leader, and we have a mission to keep the position and fight for the win for the remainder of the season.”
