The zipper at the cuff has several purposes. It allows for easier entry into the sleeve, provides extra ventilation on warm days, and allows you to easily wear the glove cuff under your outer shell and over your base layer.
- 3D mesh protector pockets
The collar hook and loop allow you to draw back the front side of the collar, allowing air flow to cool the neck during warmer periods of the year without the annoying flapping of the loose collar.

The REV’IT! flexisnap makes it possible to adjust the collar circumference easily and personalize its fit to each rider. A jacket is often worn in more then one season, and the flexisnap makes it possible to adjust the collar within seconds. During winter a wider collar circumference accommodates combining the jacket with a balaclava or wind collar, while during summer, a wider circumference lets an all-important cooling wind into the collar.

Our VCS zippers are all located in strategic positions, where they offer excellent air flow to cool the body. The air flow can be regulated by opening or closing the zipper.
Saturday 28th April 2019. Storm Hannah was in full swing. Torrential rain all day, and I mean all day, very strong winds and I suspect even the ducks were taking shelter. And what was I doing? Taking part in a charity bike ride across Lancashire.
Fortunately though, I had my Outback gear on. This is the third season I have been wearing it. To be honest, aside from a pair of Kevlar jeans, it's my only bike gear so I wear it all year round and I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic. Not one drop of water got through that suit. I was absolutely and completely bone dry underneath.
On the outside, the cuffs were actually dripping with water with the amount of rain we experienced. But none inside. I do wash the suit in technical wash that cleans and re proofs the gear, and that will have helped I'm sure, but still, for the price and the quality, you cannot go wrong.
With the fit, I am a 5 foot 6 and a size 14 to 16 slightly odd shaped rider with a large bust (bragging not complaining), narrow back and shoulders, narrow hips and bum, with a bit of a tummy. The fit is definitely a ladies fit as it shapes around the hips and bum well and like most, has the velcro adjusters on the waist. The jacket has the right length sleeves and the inside leg of the trousers are perfect.
The two removable layers in the jacket and the thermal liners in the pants mean that in the summer, I can just use the outer shell but know I am still protected. In the winter, like everyone else, I layer up and stay warm.
Anyhow, please forgive my rambling but I just had to let you ladies (and gents) know that this suit is worth its weight in gold. Stay warm, stay dry and enjoy those two wheels. Whatever the weather.
