The New and Familiar #RevitRiders

Introducing our new and familiar faces of road motorcycle racers.REV’IT! Riders

Personal values, performance, and long-term relationships. Those are key elements we look for when selecting riders to become part of our family. We learn from our riders, the best motorsports athletes in the world, gleaning details that help to improve our products. We also aim to provide those riders with the best design and protection in the paddock.

From MotoGP to MotoAmerica, we are present at the top international and national races in the world, empowering younger riders, as well as more experienced ones. What do all of us have in common? Passion. We believe in each others’ goals, and we stand behind each other. Here are our #revitriders.

MotoGP – WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP TeamDarryn Binder
Meet Darryn

Leap of faith. Those words best describe the move Darryn Binder has made this year to the WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team. Going straight from Moto3 to MotoGP is not something that happens every day, even for someone as gifted as the South African.

Binder’s talent is undeniable. Despite height and weight disadvantages, he was able to win one Moto3 race last year and climb the podium five more times. Now, Binder is competing with the fastest riders on the biggest stage, truly a dream come true.

Meet Danilo

Danilo Petrucci fulfilled a childhood dream and created international buzz in his Dakar Rally debut this year. The two-time MotoGP race winner stormed to victory in the fifth stage, beating the world’s best off-road motorcycle racers in the high-profile event run entirely in Saudi Arabia.

Now, the Italian will turn his attention to the MotoAmerica Superbike series, where he will race a factory supported Ducati V4 R in the 10-round U.S. national championship led by three-time 500cc World Champion Wayne Rainey.

WorldSBK - Aruba.it Racing Ducati TeamÁlvaro Bautista
Meet Álvaro

Álvaro Bautista has long competed at the highest levels of the sport. The 37-year-old Spaniard beams when he speaks of returning to the Aruba.it Racing Ducati Team with which he scored 16 victories and finished second overall in the 2019 WorldSBK title chase.

For the past two seasons, the 2006 125cc world champion raced a Honda in WorldSBK. Despite showing flashes of his trademark speed, Bautista was unable to deliver the results he expected. With Ducati, he intends to fight for the world championship once again.

Moto2 – Red Bull KTM AjoAugusto FernandezMeet Augusto

Augusto Fernandez turned in an amazing performance in the 2021 Moto2 World Championship. He earned a career-best six podiums, which helped him finish the season in fifth position overall. It was a solid step forward that proved his evolution as a rider.

This year, the Spaniard moved to Red Bull KTM Ajo, the team that last season finished first and second overall in the Moto2 title chase. A great rider plus a great team equals great expectations, so we can’t wait to see what Fernandez can achieve.

Moto2 – ItaltransLorenzo Dalla Porta
Meet Lorenzo

This past year was difficult for Lorenzo Dalla Porta. The Italian rider was forced to end his season prematurely due to ongoing pain in his left shoulder. He has since successfully completed the long and necessary rehabilitation process.

Dalla Porta looks to the new season with optimism and ambition. He will wear the same colors of Italtrans Racing, the team that gave him the opportunity to make his Moto2 debut in 2020. For him, this is a demonstration of confidence that has kept him motivated.

Moto2 - GASGAS Aspar Moto2 TeamJake Dixon
Meet Jake

Jake Dixon’s unlikely production-bike path to a pair of MotoGP wildcards with the Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team is not without precedent. It is, however, rare, with many riders having climbed the Grand Prix ladder on purpose-built racing chassis.

Dixon otherwise spent the past two years competing in Moto2 with Petronas Sprinta Racing, delivering a half-dozen top 10s. With that effort disbanded at the end of the 2021 season, Dixon has returned to the Aspar Team, this time on a GASGAS-branded Kalex.

Meet Alessandro

Like most of his rivals, Alessandro Zaccone began competing as a child. He has contested the CIV and CEV championships, as well as European Superstock 600, but he truly felt comfortable when he arrived in the MotoE World Championship, where he earned a victory.

This year, Zaccone is ready to make his Moto2 debut. After signing with Gresini Racing, he is expecting a demanding season in which he will have to learn this difficult category while proving he is faster than his peers.

Moto2 - Gresini Racing Moto2Filip Salač
Meet Filip

Flip Salač had a rollercoaster of a ride, competing for not one but two teams. He started the season with Rivacold Snipers, where he managed to get his first podium in the Moto3 category with a second place at Le Mans and also his first pole position at the Sachsenring.

Salač and his team then parted ways, and Filip ended the season with the CarXpert Prüstel GP team in 16th position overall. This year marks Salač’s debut in Moto2 as he joins fellow #revitrider, Alessandro Zaccone, in the Gresini Racing Moto2 team.

Sixteen-year-old Zonta van den Goorbergh is one of the great young Dutch road racing talents. Coming from the Moto3 Junior World Championship, he is going to skip Moto3 and go straight to Moto2. It is a big step that has caught many by surprise.

Zonta, however, is confident in his abilities on the racetrack and is ready to face this challenge. He is not alone in this journey, though; his father is Jurgen van den Goorbergh, a former 250cc and 500cc Grand Prix rider.

This year, Moreira will compete in Moto3 for the MT Helmets-MSI team. The 17-year-old Brazilian will likely face many challenges and learn a lot, but he already has proven that he is fast enough to compete on the world stage.

MotoAmerica - Tytlers Cycle RacingPJ Jacobsen
Meet PJ

PJ Jacobsen switched from flat track to road racing as a teenager and soon jetted overseas to pursue his goal of becoming a world champion. He nearly achieved that dream in 2015, when he finished second overall to fellow REV’IT! rider, Kenan Sofuoğlu, in World Supersport.

Returning stateside, Jacobsen competed in American Flat Track SuperTwins and, later, MotoAmerica Stock 1000 and Superbike Cup. For 2022, the 28-year-old New Yorker will contest MotoAmerica’s premier Superbike class with a new team on a BMW M 1000 RR.
