In 2018 she decided it was time to quit her day job as a geologist. After selling her belongings she left the Netherlands to go travel. Her plan at first was to write blogs on her backpacking trips, only to fall in love with the freedom of motorcycle travel soon after. She bought an action sports camera, started her YouTube channel under the name “Itchy Boots”, and began her first season on two wheels, documenting the 36,000 km journey from India to Europe riding on a Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Almost 1.5 million subscribers and 300 million views later, she’s become the most well-known adventure rider on the planet.
