MOTO DENIMRULES!

In the past, motorcycle jeans were mostly made of regular denim fabrics with some Kevlar® reinforcements at impact areas, offering little “real” protection.

About this page

Today, motorcycle denims are as technical and protective as high-end textile riding trousers, incorporating technologies that come straight from our in-house lab, such as PWR|shield, SEESMART™ CE-level 1 knee (standard) and hip (optional) armor, COOLMAX® treatment for optimum moisture management and triple needle stitching.

And when it comes to comfort and wearability, there’s nothing like it, so the only thing you need to look at is the wash and the fit.

To make it easy, we've put together a guide on how to find yourself the perfect motorcycle jeans.

FIRST THINGS FIRST WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE FITTING SHAPE?

About this page

First, you need to figure out what your body shape is, so you can determine which fit will look the best and feel the best you. If you have an athletic build or if you're full-figured, we suggest a regular fit (a straight cut is good for everybody and every body!) or a tapered fit (looser at the upper legs then gradually tapers as they reach ankle).

If you’re looking for extra comfort, jeans with a loose fit (wider all around) are great as they're not baggy but sport a loose waist and straight legs. If you have a slimmer figure, you want to avoid looking like you're wearing your dad’s trousers! So, your best option would be jeans with either a regular fit or a slim fit.

Motorcycle Jeans - Slim Fit

SLIM FIT

Slim fit jeans have the least amount of fabric in the rear panels, and the openings at the ankle are narrower than in regular fit jeans. They are designed to create a look that ensures your legs have definition, without feeling too clingy.

Motorcycle Jeans - Tapered Fit

TAPERED FIT

Tapered jeans feel comfortable in the waist and thigh area, while from the knee down the model tapers, becoming narrower as they reach the ankle. They offer a more fashionable, contemporary look without the discomfort of being too tight.

Motorcycle Jeans - Regular Fit

REGULAR FIT

The jeans most of us wear is considered to be “regular.” They’re made to fit like the iconic Levi’s 501 blue jeans. This timeless pattern rests lightly against your upper legs without feeling too tight. From the upper legs down, these jeans sport a straight cut.

Motorcycle Jeans - Loose Fit

LOOSE FIT

These jeans don't hug in any one specific area, and feel slightly wider all around, like a pair of classic Lees or Wranglers. Don’t mistake them for baggy jeans, as their fit is mainly offered to add maximum comfort to your ride. Thanks to the combination of a loose waist and a straight leg, these jeans are easy to wear both on and off the bike.

NOW DETERMINE YOUR SIZEWIDTH FIRST, LENGTH SECOND

About this page

After choosing your preferred model, it’s time to choose the right size. First, you’ve got to determine your waist size. That’s the most important thing. Don’t worry, we have our own sizing guide just like regular fashion denims to help you select the correct one.

After that, you should check the correct leg length. The standard leg length is a 34-inch inseam for men and a 32-inch inseam for ladies.

In all men’s models, there is a 32-inch inseam option, and if you’re taller than average, we’ve got motorcycle jeans with a 36-inch inseam. All ladies’ models are available in a standard leg length with a 32-inch inseam. Sizes are clearly indicated on the size labels at the edge of the waist. A label indicating W34/L32 means it is a size 34-inch waist and 32-inch leg length, also known as a size thirty-four ‘short.’

DON’T FORGET TO PROTECT YOUR BACK

About this page

One of the coolest accessories that seriously enhance the level of safety is our ‘smart’ Safeway 2 belt. All our denims have reinforced belt loops, of which there are 2 closely positioned at the back, enabling you to fixate the belt and fasten your jeans to the 20 cm YKK connection zipper, which you’ll find in almost every REV’IT! jacket.

Both buffalo leather Safeway belts are available in black and brown and the difference is in the width. The Safeway 2 is 4cm wide, whereas the Safeway 30 is 3cm wide, and favored by most female riders for its more elegant look. They’re both available in various lengths, but you can easily shorten them if necessary.
