Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Field: Staff
Location: Oss, The Netherlands
Contract Type: Part-time

Feel free to apply in Dutch or English

What can you expect from us?

The REV'IT! Headquarters is more than just a workplace. Its 3,800 m2 of office space and 5,200 m2 of warehouse space is an extension of the REV'IT! brand, representing a powerful statement to the outside world. It’s a building that we all take great pride in. Every detail has been accounted for in creating an inspiring and technically proficient space so that you’ll love where you work, and love taking care of such a building.

With such a varied position, your work will excite you and keep you interested. You’ll be responsible for carrying out small, technical maintenance activities—repairing leaks, minor breakdowns, carpentry work, painting, and replacing locks, sweeping sidewalks, distributing gritting salt, removing weeds, and assisting with logistical work and internal moves. You’ll also be integral to larger or more specialized jobs, communicating with external parties and supervising them on site.

Though you’ll have your own independence, you’re never alone at REV’IT!. As well as being surrounded with interesting and respectful colleagues, you’ll also receive close support from our Facility Manager to aid you in your role.

What does this mean in practice?

You’ll be maintaining the look, quality, and reputation of REV’IT! Headquarters, handling all sorts of day-to-day and one-off maintenance jobs.

Your job will include:

  • Day-to-day inspections around the building.
  • Responding to and repairing defects and technical failures or requests.
  • Maintenance work inside and outside the building.
  • Performing handyman jobs such as replacing light bulbs.
  • Moving and setup. Think, for example, of moving furniture for an event, or making physical changes to the workplace.
  • Contacting external parties and making arrangements with them. In the case of a defect, for example.
  • Performing monthly inspections of the fire alarm and sprinkler system.
  • Participating in facility project, for example in the field of health and safety.
  • Being available outside of standard working hours in case of incidents at our premises that require your urgent attention.
  • Taking responsibility for the garden around our building, making sure others see to it, and give it the attention it needs.

This is a parttime position (24 hours per week). You’ll report to the HR Manager.

Are you our ideal candidate?

As Facility Maintenance Technician, you’ll have great respect for your surroundings and will have the drive and expertise to take on the responsibility for them.

We expect:

  • An MBO education or a similar level achieved by work experience.
  • Experience working in a similar position.
  • Experience and knowledge of a building, in terms of facility-related soft and hard technical services.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Technical skills required for performing handyman-esque tasks.
  • In-depth building knowledge allowing you to speak the same language as technical suppliers and maintenance companies.
  • Sharp eye for detail and the work mentality to proactively solve problems and issues.
  • Willingness to participate in the BHV team (the emergency response roles such as designated first aiders and fire marshals within the building).
  • A BBMI certificate (fire alarm system management) or a willingness to obtain one.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • The ability to cooperate well with internal and external parties.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with and director subcontractors and suppliers, preferably also in English.
  • A proactive mindset, exploring and implementing preventive solutions for possible technical problems before they arise.
