The Supply Chain and Warehouse department forms the central nervous system for our network of manufacturers, suppliers, transporters, and customers. You’ll be organizing and coordinating warehouse activities by day-to-day operational management of warehouse employees and temporary workers and performing warehouse and administrative activities.

Your job will include:

• Day-to-day operational management of warehouse employees and temporary workers.

• Coaching and supervising a team of Warehouse Employees (between 10 and 25 employees and temporary workers).

• Coordinating the operational activities of the warehouse such as Inbound, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Replenishment, and Outbound.

• Accurately distributing incoming and outgoing shipments and warehouse activities assigned by the (Assistant) Warehouse Manager.

• Day planning for the warehouse (including scaling temporary workers up and down).

• Communication with employment agencies regarding hiring temporary workers

• Processing administrative activities associated with incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Complying with rules (such as keeping the warehouse in order, correct work clothing for all employees, and most important, a safe workplace).

• Providing guidance on sick leave

• Taking responsibility for the assessment cycle of all Warehouse Employees.

• Keeping records of hours of warehouse employees and temporary workers.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). You’ll report to the (Assistant) Warehouse Manager.

You need the ability to lead a team of warehouse employees and temporary workers, taking responsibility for the physical and administrative warehouse work and guiding a team to complete it effectively and efficiently.

We expect:

• 1 to 3 years management experience, preferably in a warehouse environment

• Great communication skills 

• The ability to speak Dutch and English (Polish is a bonus)

• Evidence of leadership skills
• The ability to set priorities
• A leader’s mentality and a can-do attitude
